Hurry Home for Dinner Tonight Dear!!!

We are having a specialty! CAT!
This week has been entirely interesting. From throwing one subject into the dog kennel at 3 a.m. to waking up to this today....
The suspects.....

So...instead of cleaning it up this morning, I promptly took the dog and put her in the car and left the house...someone once said that I was not mature enough to have children...this weekend was all about proving them right. :)

Love,
Shelbi

Lovin'

I am loving this show...
I was laughing so hard last night when I watched it that the neighbors below us had to knock on the ceiling to get me to be quiet. Okay, well they didn't do that, but that would have made things even better.

And the thunder rolls

The rain they said! And the wind they said! And then they said "watch out for the tornado"!

So our plants have made their home inside....
And then I tossed and I turned all night long with the thunder booming! It was really a great time for all. :) The dog slept through it and the Mister snored all night long too. Both cats hugged MY legs and slept on MY feet, as I tossed and turned.
Scott had to go to Florida this morning, so I then draaaaged myself out of bed and got in the car to drive to the airport (with no GPS, the Mister announced on Sunday that this was broken, and that he had ordered the "free" CD to fix it...we had a talk about fixing things that were broken, and not things that weren't broken. Unfortunately that leaves me without direction for the week...) At least I have the route to the airport memorized, then I had to drive home...Think traffic...Think raining cats and dogs sideways...Think sleep deprived me....Think bad news...and finally think 25 MPH . :) It was a treat let me tell you. And then....it has looked like this the whole rest of the day, and at noon, the sun came out.

The End

The Joys....

Of condo living...Here is where I spent some of my time yesterday...
That is right...in the belly of our little home, surrounded by storage closets and meters....
And if you are not totally jealous you should come visit, and you will become jealous. I know you will... one thing is for sure, I only paid this much money to go to a Haunted House this year...Fantastic...

Wedding

My younger brother Stefen got married this last weekend, the wedding was great! Gorgeous colors, they let me do the flowers, and we are all so excited that the new Mr. and Mrs. Bolander are joining our family! However, I do have to say that I tear up every time I think about my little brother being married. Is it because I think I am getting old you say? No...alright... maybe a little. I just remember Stefen as the little boy who was my dad's shadow and always had a squeaky voice and a love for cars and four wheeling.

Anyway, enough of that, here are some photo's from the wedding

Aniston is always entertained. We had a dinner Friday night. Which just so happened to be the day Scott and I flew in. We were late for the dinner because when we left Chicago they could not find our pilot... I offered to fly the plane, but they said no...I was hurt.

Saturday was my Dad's Birthday, so we celebrated with pie.

This is Stefen's grooms cake. Now, let me just tell you about this cake . My parents have the sweetest next door neighbor, that has the sweetest most talented daughter. She would make my grandpa Bill a fabulous cake every year for his birthday, and that became the highlight of Grandpa's party. So, in typical fashion this sweet talented woman made this great cake that totally fits my brother.

May I just point out here that I had high heels on to compete with this tall family I seem to belong to....Never a dull moment with us!

We were so excited to see our nieces and nephews! We had to get a shot with all of them at the reception! We had a great time talking about old times and old, and new dress debacles. :)

This has to be my all time favorite photo of my husband, our niece Anja just ran into his arms while squealing his name. It was a tear jerker.

More photo's and fun things to come...First I have to figure out which computer they are on.

Dear Friends....

We have our first visitors! My dear friends from work are here! Okay, they are technically not here to see me, but we are having an amazing quilt show in Chicago just up the street from me.

We took the opportunity to go downtown with them on Tuesday night. Mr Bywater meant up with us after work and we went to Gino's East for some AMAZING pizza!
We had several funny experiences. It is good that I now know I am not the only one that falls victim to Mr. Bywater's teasing.

"Brooke: "I don't know if I could stay on one of those Segway scooters" Mr. Bywater: " Well you could just ask for the training wheels" Brooke: "Oh! they have training wheels!?! Well, then that might not be so bad after all!" Mr. Bywater: " Snicker, Laugh, snicker, laugh"
Then all of us started laughing. He is a comedian, and Brooke really made me feel better about my life. I think I said several times that night "Sorry everyone, I don't let him out of the house very often."

Here are some great shots of the fabulous quilt event
I love these ladies and miss working with them!
